FUDECE is a Quito-based team of economic and sociology professionals with broad experience in promoting human development and in socio-economic research. Agreement No. 05293 with the Social Welfare Minister authorizes the foundation’s work.
Quito is the capital of Ecuador, a country of 12.156.608 inhabitants (50.5% women, 49.5% men), located on South America’s Pacific Coast between Colombia and Peru. Ecuador remains one of the continent’s less-developed countries. Fully 56% of all Ecuadorians — more than half the country — lives below the poverty line and 21% of the people are indigent.
Our challenge is education and culture, in its widest sense, which includes methods of production and exchange.

To generate positive changes in the quality of life among families in Ecuadorian society’s most vulnerable groups and to improve the living conditions of women, children and youth by instilling values and attitudes that will lead to new behavior.
